As the County's chief law enforcement officer, the Sheriff and his deputies respond to calls for emergency service, enforcing local ordinances, state and federal law, and maintain a sense of tranquility by visibility in the communities they patrol. The Sheriff's Office implemented VINE on April 9th 2009, a new victim notification system that notifies victims when an inmate is transferred, released or escapes. Anyone can enroll themselves in the VINE program too by calling 1-888-263-8463 or visiting www.vinelink.com
